SARW members Sylvia Gartner, Karen Marshall, Debbie Wall, Lisa Griffth, and Susan Bayne brought support to the evening by providing refreshments. These were sampled in the foyer prior to the starting the program. Gale Sayers was extremely helpful by calling judges and reminding them of the meet.
Prestigious, professional, and patriotic would describe the Texas A@MSA Meet and Greet held October 14th at 6:00 PM. Texas A@MSA and SARW hosted the Candidates Meet and Greet for both Democrat and Republican judicial candidates. As candidates and participants filed in the beautiful Central Academic Building, each was given a program designed by student Silvia Soto. The program started with "The National Anthem" sung by Elena, a student from the college. After the song, Andres Holiday, the president of the University Government Association, began introducing each candidate. The candidates were given one minute to speak about their qualifications and platform. After forty plus candidates spoke, there were a few closing remarks by Aaron, student president of the Pre-Law Society.
